PRONEB TM COMPRESSOR

3. Open the nebulizer package and read and follow the nebulizer Instructions For Use.

Note: Your PRONEB Compressor may contain either an interrupter or a nebulizer stand for the enclosed nebulizer. The interrupter or nebulizer stand attach to the bottom of the nebulizer as follows:

SIDEVIEW: PRONEB

The interrupter allows the aerosol mist to be generated when the patient inhales (button pressed), and shut off (button released) when the patient exhales. This minimizes the wastage of medication. Your physician should decide whether or not an interrupter should be used. The nebulizer stand simply allows the nebulizer to be placed in the nebulizer holder on top of the PRONEB with the tubing attached.

 V. MAINTENANCE OF THE PRONEB

Cleaning the PRONEB Housing and Tubing

Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the PRONEB housing and tubing. Never spray fluid into the ventilation slots on the PRONEB Compressor. Fluid could cause damage to the electrical and compressor parts and could lead to a malfunction. In the event that fluid enters the unit, contact a PARI authorized service center.

 Filter Replacement

Under normal conditions, the filter on the front panel of the PRONEB should be replaced after 500 hours of use, or sooner if it appears soiled (grey), clogged or wet. Check the condition of the fiIter after every 10-12 treatments. Do not attempt to wash and re-use filters.
